ABOUT ARTS

​Arts Researchers and Teachers Society (ARTS) is a special interest group (SIG) within the Canadian Association for Curriculum Studies (CACS), which, in turn, is a constituent association of the Canadian Society for the Study of Education (CSSE). 

​

ARTS SIG works to

• foster the exchange of ideas in arts research across Canada

• provide a forum for discussion of arts curriculum in a Canadian context

• encourage scholarly work in arts education; and

• bring together members of the arts disciplines who maintain a common interest in the general principles of curriculum theory and  development
